Like any martial artist knows, it's all about balance and strength. Blizniak's Bokken strives for these same qualities when forming our custom bokken. Because we form our bokken from hand we can feel the balance as we create it. We personally hand select each piece of wood for every bokken we create. We inspect each piece to make sure the wood is top quality and doesn't have any cracks or knots that can lead to poor performance. We also look at the grain pattern to ensure the strength needed for bokken training. We get most of hardwoods from South America and Africa. We purchase our exotic woods from responsible suppliers that are concerned with the environmental factors involved with harvesting exotic hardwoods. Each wood is selected for different qualities, ranging from flexibility to hardness. Creating bokken is our passion and every bokken we create is beautiful!
